The Probity Marketing Story

It was over a year ago, in late 2020, that Probity Marketing started brewing in my mind. After leaving a decade-long career in the corporate sector in search of a greater purpose, I started consulting. Driven by my risk-loving nature, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying. While I’m tempted to call it luck, the truth is that 10 years working for the biggest toy company in the world allowed me to build immense career capital and introduced me to incredible humans who would become my guides in this journey.

In the beginning, I decided to call it Saint Philip Marketing, not knowing yet what exactly consulting would mean to me. Following my instinct, I gave it a name that linked back to my roots, which allowed me to connect with it during the incubation stage. And so I went out into the world taking on a variety of interesting mandates, and acquiring new clients thanks to word of mouth. Fast forward to July 2021 when it finally hit me: without really trying I had built a roster of clients made entirely of impact companies. Somehow I’d found my purpose through helping others achieve theirs.

If you are wondering if probity is a real word, a quick Google search will show its definition: “the quality of having strong moral principles”. In simple terms, being honest and behaving correctly. It felt right, it’s exactly how every company in the world should do business and how they should communicate with their audience. The name was quickly adopted as a north-star for sustainably scaling up our organization, as a filter to select collaborators and clients, and as a standard for the work we output.

This is a new beginning, and it feels incredible to be able to materialize what was barely an idea less than 12 months ago. It will definitely evolve over the years, but right now we take a second to celebrate.

Join us as we set out to reinvent the future of marketing, one that elevates and amplifies organizations creating a positive impact in the world!
